Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta – Treasure Box of Biodiversity

It is the second time that I have the opportunity to film in the misty mountains of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Once beleaguered by the cocaine trade, is the world’s most irreplaceable nature reserve, according to a global study of every protected area on the planet. 44 endemic species are found here, for example seven species of endemic hummingbirds. The area is home to 440 species of birds alone – and I was pretty lucky with my shots on the first day here.
